Forthcoming events for the 2009/10 season

Would all brethren please note, the under-mentioned events scheduled for the forthcoming season
are restricted to the brethren of The Royal Sovereign Light Lodge and their guests.

Dear Friend and/or Brother,

As the start of a new Masonic season approaches we would like to bring you up to date on future events which we hope you will find of interest.

Our Carol Service / Christmas Dinner will be taking place Sunday 6th December (12.00 for 12.30) in the Manor Barn, Old Town, Bexhill. Tickets are priced at £16.75 and may be obtained from W.Bro. Keith Mason or W.Bro. Douglas Mayne.

W.Bro. Des Eakins is once again running the "100 Club". The annual cost for this is £6.00, or multiples thereof. Last year £322 was donated to charity, so this is obviously a very worthwhile fund-raising event. Please contact Des if you wish to participate.

The R.S.L.L. Chapter will be holding a mince pie and coffee morning on Saturday 19th December 2009 in St. Martha's Hall,  Little Common, in order to raise funds for the 50th Anniversary and Banner Dedication, due to take place in April 2012. Do come along and enjoy the company.

Another date for you diary, in order to raise funds for the 50th Anniversary and Banner Dedication, is 27th February 2010, when there will be a Quiz Night and two course meal at St. Martha's Hall. Details will be available early in 2010.

It must be said that without the support of our Ladies, for many of us, freemasonry would be difficult indeed to follow, as it consumes much of our time, both inside and outside the lodge.
For those of you reading these pages who are non-masons, you should know that our ladies have their own Association and contribute to the needs of others, in ways similar to those of  lodges. Their charitable fund raising is indeed an incredible feat, contributing much to those less fortunate than ourselves.

The members of the Royal Sovereign Light Lodge are rightly proud of their ladies and the Royal Sovereign Ladies' (Masonic Charities) Association, and we wish them continued success for the future.
